Effects of bottom deflectors on aerodynamic drag reduction of a high-speed train

چکیده

Inspired by the fact that bogies and bottom equipment generally contribute a great deal of aerodynamic drag to high-speed trains, this paper puts forward simple method mounting some small deflectors before and/or after bogie cabins optimize underbody flow reduce trains. The fields train models with without are numerically studied IDDES method. effectiveness further mechanism on reduction analyzed. It is demonstrated could guide ground prevent it from hitting train, resulting in significant effect. Moreover, effects different locations discussed as well, an optimal configuration effect up about 12% finally obtained. Nevertheless, mounted deflector also proved capable significantly reducing interference range slipstream which possesses higher guarantee for safety railway workers passengers waiting platforms. This work provides new idea significance energy conservation consumption reduction.
